Wrecked 2001 Bentley Arnage Red Label (Totaled)

One of the best parts about the Bentley Arnage ownership experience has been meeting other owners from all over the world. I’ve had the opportunity to exchange helpful information with other folks that are passionate about these proper motorcars.

Unfortunately, being a part of this community also includes hearing occasional bad news. A fellow Arnage owner, Mike from the Phoenix, Arizona area, sent some photos of the unfortunate demise of his 2001 Bentley Arnage Red Label. The car was involved in a 4-vehicle accident. It was sandwiched between a GMC Acadia and Ford F-150 after a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 plowed into the lineup at around 55 mph. Mike was fortunate to be in such a weighted vehicle, but still suffered some injuries. We wish Mike a speedy recovery.

The car was a total loss due to the severe impact (as seen in the photos below).

The main impact occurred in the rear of the car, and slightly off-center to the left. The damage can be seen all the way at the top of the C-pillar. Clearly, a powerful impact from the GMC Acadia.

Close-up of the mangled rear: absolutely destroyed. If this had been a mass-produced car made of lightweight, thin steel- the damage would have been considerably more devastating. The license plate has been altered for privacy and comedic reasons.

The impact was so great, the car was pushed into a Ford F-150 pickup truck in front of the Bentley. While the front damage appears minor, this would be quite costly to repair.

Mike had purchased the car in the Spring of 2017 and had put around 10,000 miles on the car before the accident in early 2018. The bright white is not a common color for the Arnage. This was a beautiful example.
