Rambling On

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Hi friends, it’s me, Josh. I am just writing to give you an update on what’s going on. Currently, the time is 7:00pm exactly. I am listening to Ben Folds “Jesusland” and relaxing online style. I learned a great trick yesterday that makes me less tired during the day. It’s called going to bed early. Last night I went to bed around 10:30. And today, I didn’t feel the need to take a nap. I did manage to take one anyway- but it was only 15 minutes or so. Now I am listening to Anberlin “Fin”. Ken turned me on to this song. It’s like 9 minutes long. I love good, long songs. Weezer “Only In Dreams” is another good long song that I don’t get tired of too easily. I can’t think of any others right now.

In other news, we got a new dog. We are calling him Jax. He is a mix of collie and German shepard. I will post pictures of him soon. We got him from a collie rescue place. We also recycle plastic bottles. Truly, we are saving the planet. Apparently 9 minutes have gone by since I told you about the Anberlin song because a new song is on, Fishboy “Louis The Bear”. Here’s a great story about Fishboy… I discovered Fishboy from a website that features bands from Dallas (or the Dallas area) and I listened to this song called “Cheer Up Great Pumpkin”. I liked it and then I checked out the band’s website and they had some other good songs. A few months go by and I am at the band’s website again and they have this video about Fishboy so I start watching it. Keely is in the room when they start interviewing Fishboy’s parents and she goes “That’s my aunt & uncle.” So it turns out that Fishboy is Keely’s cousin. So that was weird/funny/coincidental. In case you’re wondering what’s playing from the playlist now, it’s Alphaville “Big In Japan”. I’d visit Japan if I didn’t have to pay for it. I think I would also like to go to England or Australia. Other than those places, I think there is plenty to see in the good ol’ USA. Well I am going to wrap things up. Jax just walked into the room and then left. Ben Folds “The Luckiest” is on. I guess he doesn’t like this track. Oh well. The time is now 7:22pm. Kryzak out.

Rapid Brain Fire

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

I feel a special kinship with people who order their steaks medium-rare. After watching some reruns of Friends, I’ve realized no sitcom can live up to the standard that was set by that show. My favorite type of pasta in penne. I will never buy a McAfee product, nor should you. 98% of reality TV annoys me. I consider broadcast news reality TV. I highly recommend Danny’s Imports for service of your Acura or Honda. I love being married. “Penne” is not in my spellchecker dictionary, and I probably won’t add it. I wish they made those kids shoes with the wheels in the heels in an adult size 12. I stole this random-statement-style blog post from somebody on MySpace. He probably stole it from somebody else.

I’ve Finally Made It

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

Yesterday I reached a new milestone in life. For the first time, I realized, “I’ve made it.” And how did I come to this conclusion? It all started when I opened my refrigerator and gazed at the slendor before me. What did I see? Not one, not two, not even three, but six kinds of cheese! Now I’m not one for bragging (too much), but this might be one of the greatest achievements of my life. So I bet you’re wondering what kind of cheeses I saw, well here’s the list: Wisconsin Cheddar, Kraft Mild Cheddar, Garlic & Dill White Cheddar, Smoked Gouda, Parmesan, and Mozzarella. Truly this is an accomplishment I will never forget.

Another Year, Another Post

Monday, January 1st, 2007

Here we are, 2007- Happy New Year!    Well I guess you want to know if I have any resolutions for the new year.  In my constant attempt to be nonconformist, I’ve decided not to make any resolutions (until January 16th).  And in my ongoing quest to always fit in, I have decided to join a gym.  I’m so complex.  But really, the only negative factor of living in a house versus living in an apartment is the fact that I have to now go and pay money to work out somewhere… and I will have to drive there.

To start the new year, today we had a cook-out at my house with Ken and my family.  It was only my second time to use my new grill which my older brother and his in-laws gave to Keely and me as a housewarming gift.  I walked away for a few minutes right after I had put about 50 bucks worth of steaks on grill.  Shortly after that, my good friend Ken alerted me to the black billowing smoke filling the backyard and I briskly walked to the grill to salvage what I could.  Needless to say, everybody enjoyed their steaks well-done.  Homeowner Tip #2: don’t walk away from your grill for too long.  I had another batch of steaks after that that turned out much better.

Happy Holidays

My life is ever changing.  Let me tell you about a couple of new things in my life.  First of all, we said good bye to the Maxima last month.  She was a good friend, but she became a little high-maintenance, so I let her go.   I traded her in for a 2003 Acura TL Type-S.  I like it very much.  Pictures soon to come.

Josh’s World Overhaul

Monday, October 30th, 2006

Hey Everybody, Josh’s World is getting an extreme makeover.  I just want to thank ABC and Sears for all the bla bla bla…  But seriously, I am switching to WordPress because it has so many built in features that will make maintaining this site much easier.  You can look forward to updated photos, the ability to leave comments, and other cool stuff.  There are some layout issues that I am still working on, but I should have everything working smootly soon.

Sorry So Late

Wednesday, October 4th, 2006

Hi everybody! Well, it’s been 6 months exactly since my last post. I wanted to take things easy this summer and just do nothing, so that’s what I did. I did some stuff though. Keely and I did go to Florida, that was fun… and we also went to Door County Wisconsin too for the 4th of July. Let’s see, I turned 29- that was nice. I paid off the Maxima, that was around April or May. Umm let’s see, what else? Oh, Keely and I bought a house, so that’s pretty special. Oh- and the new ULINE catalog came in! So all and all, it was a pretty low-key summer. Toodles.

The UPS Guy

Wednesday, March 29th, 2006

You know what I get overly-excited about? The UPS truck. Many of you folks that leave home everyday may not know this joy because you’re gone during his visits. No, this is a joy experienced primarily by stay-at-home moms, folks that work at home, and the unemployed. There is just something about the sound of the noisy diesel, the squeaky brakes, and the fact that some cool product is being delivered to me. A product that is so wonderful, you couldn’t buy it locally (for a reasonable price) no, you had to venture online. So to my freindly local UPS driver, I say, God speed Santa Claus of the day… God speed.

New Laptop

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

Notice anything different about me. Yep, I’m typing on my new laptop. Oh what an exciting day for me! I am watching Emeril Live and typing on the laptop, I feel like the comic book guy on The Simpsons. I think I will watch The Simpsons next. I would like to take this time to tell you about our DVR. We have ReplayTV, which in my opinion is far superior to Tivo. If you don’t have a DVR, get one. There is something about skipping commercials that represents everything I stand for. That is all. Seacrest- out.

First Post ‘06

Thursday, January 26th, 2006

Well here we are, 26 days into 2006 and I am just now writing my first post for the year. I guess I’ve just been busy. I know I use that excuse all the time, but this time I mean it. Look, you don’t understand- I’m married now, I have lots of responsibilities. It’s hard for me to find time to write now. It’s not that I don’t love you, I just need time to readjust. bla bla bla… I obviously have nothing important to say. Sorry for wasting your time. My next post will contain some sort of meaningful content.
