Acura TL Corroded/Burnt AC Blower Wire Harness Connector

Here is an image of a burnt and corroded connector from the wiring harness of the blower motor. The plastic is melted in this example. This is from a 2002 Acura TL Type-S. The connector on other Acuras/Hondas will look the same or similar to this. If your connector looks like this, it will need to be replaced.

Hi there,bI really appreciate your site. I found it right away after typing in the make and model 2003 Acura 2.3 TL type S…and your pictures were perfect.
I found the problem right away, I assume. I have a picture you could see and might help others dealing with this. It looks like the wore harness connector is pretty corroded. The wire is pretty green actually. I’m wondering if I get a new connector and if It comes with the wiring? Thanks so much for your help! Email me if you’d like that picture.

Well done Josh. I visited a lot of sites troubleshooting my AC blower problem, and yours provided the best photo assistance of any of your competitors. It took only minutes to check the fuse and relay, and when they tested good, I proceeded to replace the resistor, total time spent was less than on-half hour. Thank you, your pictures provided me with the confidence to surge ahead.

Thank you for your pics and tutorial! I had been told that it sounded like a mother board issue. No telling how much that would cost! I’m coming to you first with all my Acura issues! Thank you again for your advice!

Exactly what my issue is!!! The problem is, where do I get a new blower motor WITH the wires/adapter attached? My tech recommended a used part lot. Anyone successfully found parts?

OMG! We have had the sAme
Exact problem! And in HOT HOUSTON its been absolutely hell! First was told needed new blower….got that. Then was told to replace the larger fuse under the hood. When wiggled we noticed the. Blower made a clicking sound and turned for a sec. Kept moving the large fuse and it did the same even with old blower and old fuse.
Have tried to find the wire harness and can’t find it anywhere. So decided to bypass the plastic harness itself cut the wires at harness then added the wire clamps and attached straight to the blower. Blower still wanted to work but was still not fixed.
Still looking for the plastic harness to see if that seals the deal. Anyone know where I can purchase it ?? .

Harness melted so needs replacement. Is it possible the blower motor itself is still good?
